The protagonists

Lila : Lila, the main character of the series, is utterly cute. A unique and curious young girl, she has been striving to become a better person ever since meeting Jules. But her mysterious past might soon catch up with her.

Jules OUGGAR : Jules, a calm young man and the son of a military officer, was raised under a strict upbringing and excelled at the Apex Military School. Patriotic and naturally authoritative, he is willing to do whatever it takes to recover the Vénéfices and reunite with Capucine.

Félie SAVILLIAT : Félie, an orphan from Épineux and a renowned bodyguard in TOMÉE, is a force of nature despite her small stature. Endearing yet strong-willed, she dreams of becoming wealthy and buying a private island, planning to use the Vénéfices to achieve her goal.

Nathan Monvois : Nathan, a prodigy and a genius of logic, has little interest in school and rejects the adult world. Supported by a loving family, he dreams of becoming a free-spirited artist. With his nurturing nature, he naturally takes on the role of the group's “dad.”

Basile RAFOL : Basile, passionate about history and a true walking encyclopedia, dreams of attending Pie-Mère University to become a history professor. But his lack of self-confidence holds back his ambitions. Sensitive and enthusiastic, this big teddy bear is a formidable fighter trained by his mother.

The Cochon Goulu

Aude LECHÊNE : Aude works with her father at the Cochon Goulu, the bar next to the Pylore library, where she became friends with the main characters. Enthusiastic and honest, she follows their adventures with great amusement.

Simon LE BIBOT : Simon, Aude’s father, is a warm-hearted man always ready to offer good advice.

The Bobos Ringards : Behind their jeweler facade, the Bobos Ringards are actually just two twin swindlers, drawn to anything that shines.

Capucine d'ESQUINTOUR : Capucine, a shy and mysterious young girl, is searching for the Vénéfices in an attempt to cure her incurable illness. Dark and secretive, she may well keep the most important information about the Vénéfices quest to herself.

Victoire COUFOL : Victoire and Côme, Basile's parents, always dreamed of seeing one of their children pursue higher education, especially Victoire. Since Basile was the most academically inclined, they placed all their hopes on him… wrongly.

The deBRABAND family

Nicole deBRABAND : Nicole, who became Matrone at just 21, is determined to make her Family dominate. With a strategy more subtle than that of her predecessors, she gradually took control of a large part of TOMÉE’s economy. Supported by Constance, Rosalin, and Yvon, she runs the clan with an iron fist despite a past marked by her father’s death and her mother’s abandonment. Her three tattooed tears symbolize her rank as Matrone.

Douce deBRABAND : Douce is a tough and intimidating woman. She is a world-renowned artist, celebrated for her literary and theatrical works, especially in TOMÉE. Although she refuses to get involved in family affairs, she keeps an eye on her niece Nicole and remains available to the Matrone when needed.

Constance deBRABAND : Constance, a skilled fighter and natural leader, is deeply involved in Family affairs alongside Nicole, whom she envies despite her affection for her. Mocked for marrying her cousin Yvon, she remains devoted to her clan and to the Matrone.

Rosalin deBRABAND : Rosalin, Constance’s father and Nicole’s uncle, assists the latter in family affairs while remaining a loving father to his daughter. Shaped by fear of his mother Charlotte and the loss of his wife, he has become hot-tempered and bitter, yet remains deeply attached to Constance, whom he had hoped would become Matrone.

Loup deBRABAND : Loup, Nicole’s younger brother, is only 13 at the beginning of the story and was raised by his aunt Marguerite after his father’s death and his mother’s departure. Very close to his sister, he shares a deep bond with her and admires her profoundly.

Yvon deBRABAND : Yvon, Nicole’s cousin and Constance’s husband, is discreet but always ready to support his family and his wife in all their endeavors. He is close to both Nicole and Loup.

Marguerite deBRABAND : Marguerite, Éléonore’s daughter, is gentle and shy, and has always avoided family quarrels, staying out of clan affairs. A talented sculptor, she raised Loup and has greatly supported Nicole to make up for the absence of their mother.

Éléonore deBRABAND : Marguerite’s mother and sister of the former Matron Charlotte, Éléonore is completely senile. But it seems she doesn’t always speak nonsense…

Harpie : Leader of the deBRABAND clan militia

Edmond ARGINIER : Edmond, Nicole de BRABAND's assistant, comes from a family loyal to the clan for centuries. Stressed by nature but meticulous, he is determined to do his job well and serve his clan to the best of his ability.

Mother Judice : Priestess of the deBRABAND family.

Oddi's gang

Raymond SAINT PHOR : Mischievous and remarkable, Raymond was taken in by the deBRABAND family while living on the streets. He works for Nicole to buy back Oddi and control its port, becoming the city’s great Lord. A loyal friend of Lila since 1922, he is completely devoted to her and delights in each of her visits to TOMÉE.

Annabelle de Comborne : Raymond's sworn sister, she grew up on the streets with him before being adopted by a noble family. She works as a hit woman when she feels like it. She carefully selects her clients. Seeming jaded most of the time, she's never far away to protect her little brother if necessary.

Joëlle BENZAIS : Raymond's loyal assistant.

Igor MARTIEU : Faithful assistant of Raymond.

The ROBICO sisters : Raymond's bodyguards.

The MILLIM family

Donatien MILLIM : Donatien, son of Matrone MILLIM, never wanted to become Matron and prefers to live in his own cosy bubble, playing chess. Quite handsome, he is often praised by the tabloids. His mother, Apolline, betroths him to Nicole deBRABAND to unite their two families.

Apolline MILLIM : Apolline, Matrone of the MILLIM clan, is desperate after losing control of her ancestral territory in North TOMÉE, now fragmented among different gangs. In her distress, she turns to the deBRABAND family, hoping for their help to reconquer the North… but was she right to do so?
